ABUJA, NIGERIA — First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu expressed strong optimism about the long-term impact of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, stating that she hopes to complete two terms at the Presidential Villa in 2031 and step back into a significantly improved, thriving nation.
Speaking during the official commissioning of the PBAT Door-to-Door Campaign Movement headquarters in Abuja, the First Lady highlighted ongoing infrastructural and socio-economic reforms as clear indicators of progress, rallying support for her husband’s administration and long-term vision.
Underlining her prospective vision as a senior citizen post-presidency, Senator Tinubu emphasized that the administration’s policy trajectory is designed to deliver lasting national development that will benefit all Nigerians across generations. Pointing to visible administrative strides, she cited upgrades across major transport hubs—including modernizations within Nigerian airports—as evidence that national infrastructure is moving in the right direction.
Reflecting on her long-term expectations for the country after leaving Aso Rock, Senator Oluremi Tinubu said:
“I want to leave Aso Rock, in 2031, by the grace of God, and enter a Nigeria that me as a 70-something-year-old woman will enjoy. I want to get to the airport. I want to travel, you know, so quickly. And you can see our airports too are changing.”
Addressing critics and those who dispute the tangible progress made by the current government, the First Lady offered a humorous remark while defending the administration’s record:
“So things are happening in Nigeria, except, you know, those who don’t see; maybe we’ll give them some, you know, Bola Tinubu eyeglasses. We are doing that, JigiBola.”
Formally unveiling the campaign facility, Senator Oluremi Tinubu concluded her address by declaring support for the administration’s political continuity:
“So to the glory of God, and for the victory of Mr President come 2027, I hereby formally commission the PBAT door-to-door movement campaign headquarters Abuja.”
