WASHINGTON, D.C. — The United States Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) has officially declared a 57-year-old Nigerian national, Tayo Muyiwa Olukoya, wanted in connection with federal controlled-substance violations and alleged drug conspiracy.
According to official fugitive details released by the law enforcement agency, Olukoya is being sought by federal authorities over alleged participation in narcotics trafficking operations across jurisdictions.
The declaration forms part of a wider law enforcement alert issued by United States federal authorities targeting individuals facing outstanding charges involving healthcare fraud and illicit substance offences.
In a public notice accompanying the fugitive listing, US law enforcement authorities urged members of the public possessing verifiable information regarding Olukoya’s whereabouts to contact the DEA or submit tips through official law enforcement channels.
“The DEA’s fugitive listing identifies Olukoya as wanted in connection with alleged controlled-substance offences,” the notice highlighted, emphasizing that all criminal charges remain allegations until proven beyond reasonable doubt in a court of law.
The development highlights ongoing cross-border intelligence sharing and international legal cooperation between Nigerian anti-narcotics authorities and international law enforcement agencies aimed at dismantling transnational drug syndicates.
