The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has inaugurated its newly acquired national secretariat in the Jabi area of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, establishing a central operational hub for its 2027 political campaigns.
The facility, unveiled on Monday following an emergency session of the party’s National Executive Committee (NEC), will serve as the NDC’s national headquarters and central command center for presidential campaign operations.
Speaking at the ceremony, the National Leader of the party, Senator Seriake Dickson, characterized the new office as a unifying refuge and “Noah’s Ark” for citizens seeking political change, emphasizing that the facility marks a significant step in strengthening organizational structures ahead of the upcoming general elections.
”This facility represents a sanctuary and a unifying point as we prepare for the task ahead in 2027,” Dickson stated, addressing party members and supporters during the tour of the building.
The launch was attended by key political figures within the party, including NDC National Chairman Senator Moses Cleopas, Senator Victor Umeh representing Anambra Central, and the party’s Rivers State governorship candidate, Dumo Lulu-Briggs, alongside national executive members.
Party leadership noted that the acquisition of the permanent operational base reflects the NDC’s commitment to building a formidable alternative platform capable of mobilizing voters across the country.
