Nigerian Afrobeats star Davido has submitted his sixth studio album, Oriadé, along with five key tracks, for nomination consideration at the upcoming 69th Annual Grammy Awards, scheduled for February 7, 2027.
The submissions cover several major general and genre-specific categories. Oriadé has been entered for Album of the Year, Best Global Music Album, Best Engineered Album (Non-Classical), and Best Album Cover. Meanwhile, track submissions include “B4 B4” (featuring Mayorkun and FOLA) for Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best African Music Performance; “Nakupenda” for Song of the Year and Best African Music Performance; “Le Show” for Best African Music Performance; and “I Know Who I Be” for Best Music Video.
First-round voting by Recording Academy members runs from October 12 to October 22, 2026, with the official nominations slated to be announced on November 16, 2026.
Davido, who has earned five Grammy nominations throughout his career, joins other top Nigerian artists—including Tems, Ayra Starr, and Asake—in submitting work for the 2027 award cycle as Afrobeats continues to expand its international reach.
