Wike, Oshiomhole, Political Bigwigs Gather in Abuja for Night of Tributes in Honour of Late PDP Chieftain, Dan Orbih

Top political figures across party lines gathered at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre in Abuja on Wednesday night for a solemn Night of Tributes in honour of the late National Vice Chairman (South-South) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Daniel Osi Orbih.

The event brought together key political actors, federal lawmakers, and party stalwarts to celebrate the life and political legacy of the veteran Edo strategist, who passed away on August 31 in London at the age of 64.

Among the prominent political leaders present to pay their respects were the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, the Senator representing Edo North, Adams Oshiomhole.

Both leaders joined political associates, family members, and well-wishers in taking turns to eulogize the late PDP chieftain.

In their tributes, speakers praised Chief Orbih as a courageous democrat, a steadfast party strategist, and a towering voice in South-South politics who maintained personal friendships across political divides.

The Abuja tribute marks the beginning of the final funeral rites for the deceased politician.

According to official funeral arrangements released by the family, his remains will be moved to Edo State, where a Vigil Mass and Funeral Mass will be held on October 9 and 10 at St. John’s Catholic Church, Ogbona, followed by interment
