Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke threw his political weight behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s 2027 re-election bid, declaring that four years is insufficient for the administration’s economic reforms to fully yield results.
Governor Adeleke made the public declaration on Wednesday during the official inauguration of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) held at the State House Banquet Hall, Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Addressing party chieftains and political leaders, the Osun State governor—popularly dubbed the “Dancing Governor”—urged Nigerians to grant President Tinubu a second term to consolidate ongoing national development projects and regional infrastructure initiatives. ”We must give our father, the president of this nation, time for his reform to work. It is not easy.
Four years is not enough. That is why I am here to throw my weight behind him,” Adeleke stated, adding that he could already “feel the victory coming in 2027.” Following his remarks, Governor Adeleke captivated attendees by breaking into his trademark dance steps alongside APC leaders, declaring that supporters will “sing and dance all the way back to Aso Rock” as campaign activities intensify across the country.
The inclusion of opposition figures and cross-party stakeholders in the APC’s expanded presidential campaign structure highlights strategic political realignments ahead of the 2027 general elections, with Governor Adeleke taking on key mobilization roles for the South-West region.
