Political Bombshell: APC Campaign Spokesperson Alwan Hassan Alleges Ministers Pay Billions to Secure Cabinet Appointments

A spokesperson for the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council, Alwan Hassan, has sparked intense public controversy after alleging that several government ministers pay billions of naira to secure their political appointments.

Speaking on Arise Television’s Prime Time program, Hassan declared that the primary focus for many cabinet members upon securing office is recovering the massive funds spent on obtaining their positions.

He described ministers across successive administrations as historically among the most corrupt public officers.

Hassan maintained that, this corrupt practice is an entrenched issue predating the current administration and not exclusive to the APC.

He further questioned the necessity of delegating budget implementation funds to ministerial portfolios, arguing in favor of direct executive project management to prevent corrupt enrichment and ensure effective public service delivery.
