2027: OK Movement Warns NDC, Obidients Over Growing Factional Rifts

ABUJA, NIGERIA — The Obi-Kwankwaso (OK) Movement has issued a public warning to the leadership of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and factions of the Obidient Movement, cautioning them against taking actions that could fragment Peter Obi’s broad political base ahead of the 2027 presidential elections.

In an official statement released on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, the political pressure group expressed deep concern over growing public friction, media exchanges, and supremacy contests between party officials and independent support groups.

The executive executive executives of the OK Movement emphasized that infighting over campaign council structures, identity, and grassroot authority only serves to distract from the movement’s primary objective of providing a credible governance alternative to the ruling party.

The warning follows weeks of heightened tension between NDC party leaders and support networks after disputes arose regarding the independent constitution of campaign teams, independent fundraising, and operational autonomy.

Addressing key stakeholders across both platforms, national executives of the OK Movement urged all allied bodies, youth groups, and party organs to maintain mutual respect, align campaign strategies, and resolve internal disagreements through structured dialogue rather than public confrontations.

The group reiterated its commitment to operating as an independent, nationwide grassroots mobilization engine focused on strategic voter registration and coalition building alongside the NDC framework.

Leadership of the movement assured supporters that ongoing reconciliation efforts are underway to streamline campaign structures and present a unified front.
