The African Democratic Congress Presidential Campaign Council has announced that the party’s presidential flagbearer, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, will conduct a comprehensive nationwide campaign tour covering all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Spokesperson for the ADC Campaign Council, Dirisu Ologbondiyan, disclosed the strategy during a press briefing in Abuja, asserting that the party will not exclude any zone or state from its grassroots mobilization efforts.
Ologbondiyan contrasted the planned nationwide tour with the campaign strategy of the ruling All Progressives Congress, alleging that President Bola Tinubu is hesitant to engage directly with citizens due to growing public dissatisfaction over economic challenges, rising cost of living, and widespread security concerns.
”Atiku Abubakar will take his message directly to Nigerians across all 36 states and the FCT,” Ologbondiyan stated. “Unlike the ruling party, which is afraid to face the reality of the hardship it has created, the ADC is prepared to engage voters everywhere to present practical solutions to the nation’s socio-economic issues.”
He added that the ADC presidential campaign will center on addressing declining purchasing power, soaring food inflation, structural unemployment, and persistent insecurity nationwide.
Ologbondiyan called on citizens, particularly the youth, to reject political apathy and participate actively in the electoral process to demand accountable governance and meaningful reform.
