Ahead of the upcoming 2027 general elections, the presidential candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) and Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde, has committed to establishing a broad-based transitional administration that will remain in office for a maximum of one single term.
Speaking during political consultations at the party’s North-East Zonal Town Hall Meeting held in Yola, Adamawa State, Makinde clarified that any mandate entrusted to him starting May 29, 2027, would function strictly as an inclusive national unity framework.
He emphasized that his proposed leadership would discard regional political concentration in favor of transparency, cooperative governance, and concrete solutions to the nation’s socioeconomic hurdles.
According to the APM standard-bearer, the primary objective of a limited four-year mandate is to rebuild foundational structures, foster collective cohesion, and redirect national resources toward tangible public benefit.
